About me

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at MSU in East Lansing, MI. I teach classes on Medieval Literature, Jewish Literature and other topics that have to do with my research interests in the relationships between religion, language, literature and cultural exchange.

I teach courses for the English department (ENG), the Jewish Studies Program and Integrative Studies in the Arts and Humanities (IAH). A list of my past and current courses are available through the Pedagogy tab at the top of the page.

My active and ongoing research, translation and creative projects can be found under the Projects tab.

You can also view amazing work by my students via the Student Work tab.

My favorite academic and semi-academic links can be found by clicking on the Dr. V's Favorite Stuff tab.
